About this blog

Hi! I am a second year undergraduate student. After taking a course last semester called "Mass Incarceration and U.S. Citizenship," I decided that I wanted to continue exploring some of the things I began last semester and do an independent study course. Under the section "Reading list," is all the readings I will be doing throughout the semester. This blog is where I will document annotations to the readings, some of my impressions, discussions with my faculty advisor, and the themes that emerge for me as I engage with these readings as well as experiences in my life and things happening in the media and popular culture. Hopefully, this will serve as a running commentary on my developing thoughts and critique of US mass incarceration.
